Stingray To Die
Whilst it has been known for a while that Ben Nicolas will depart the show full details about his departure storyline were unknown. As March hits, his exit becomes clearer and appears to end in death for the character.
Stingray finds himself as the most suitable donor for Kerry Mangel, who is diagnosed with Leukaemia by Dr. Roberta Marley. Both he and Dylan are suitable donors however Dylan is suffers from blood abnormalities caused by the toxins he was exposed to whilst diving into the wetlands to rescue wildlife from the chemicals dumped by Paul Robinson a year or two ago (it is also as a result of this exposure that Kerry developed the cancer). Whilst Stingray is assured that the risk to him is minimal it seems as though complications with the donation sees Kerry revived but Stingray loosing his life as he donates the bone marrow she needs to survive.
